Jobpartners feels the Force.com

Recruitment and talent management software specialist Jobpartners has migrated the latest version of its ActiveRecruiter system to Salesforce.com's Force.com platform.

Catering for the increasing demand for on demand talent management tools, the Business Edition of ActiveRecruiter handles every step of the recruitment process from defining a position and posting the vacancy to online job boards to hiring the candidate and managing their development.

Designed as a web-based application from the outset, ActiveRecruiter relies heavily on application programming interfaces (APIs) and standards such as HRXML to interchange data with job boards, reference checking agencies and online assessment systems, explained Jobpartners vice president for small and medium business, Eric Genet.

“We're using Force.com as a platform for all these different services,” he explained. “A year ago decided we wanted to have a very quick go-to-market. We didn't want to spend time on the functionality of the platform.”

After searching for what was available, Force.com had all talent manager developer needed to deliver the whole application and has lived up to expectations. “The platform is still young, but very promising,” said Genet. “The combined ERP approach is in back of a lot of people's minds. We are sharing the same technology with financial and CRM providers and have got the foundations to provide full, on-demand ERP.”

It will take some time to get there, he predicted, but Salesforce.com was already pushing in that direction with its support for the FinancialForce.com financial application. “Sharing the same technology will give all the companies within Force.com an easy way to exchange information,” said Genet.

Jobpartners is not the first recruitment and talent management supplier to migrate to Force.com, as several US-based vendors such as Jobscience, Fairsail and Riptide are already listed on the Force.com AppExchange.

While using the development platform, Jobpartners will not pursue an AppExchange listing for the moment. “It's a conscious decision,” explained Genet. “We are rolling out our solution to our core market first in Europe and will look into extending our operations to US in a second step. The AppExchange is today a very American marketplace and doesn't fit with our current roll out plan.”
