SuccessFactors intends to sell its SuccessFactors Express through the Google Apps Marketplace, enabling customers with fewer than 50 users to access and use it from Google Apps with single sign-on. “SuccessFactors is committed to bringing the power of the Cloud to all companies – from emerging growth companies to global enterprises – and the Google Apps Marketplace is further validation of our vision for strategic integrations in the Cloud,” said Tom Fisher, vice president of Cloud Computing, SuccessFactors. “By adding Express to the Google Apps Marketplace, we plan to make it extremely easy for all Google Apps customers to instantly access a powerful, collaborative performance review web application that works seamlessly with Google’s products.”

Google's online marketplace has opened to sell the services and apps from other Cloud vendors. More than 50 software makers have agreed to sell their offerings through Google, which will keep 20% of the sales. They include some big-hitters such as Intuit, NetSuite and SuccessFactors.
Google's strategy is to concentrate on enhancing basic applications like Gmail and Calendar, said Dave Girouard, president of Google Enterprise and leave other functional apps to third parties. "We'd rather offer a platform to others," he said.
Intuit Online Payroll for Google Apps is one of the more notable offerings in the new marketplace. "We want to ensure small businesses have access to the best tools, while still having the flexibility to choose the platform that best meets their needs,” said Garret Seevers, group marketing manager for Intuit Online Payroll. “So in addition to our own Intuit App Center, business owners will be able to use Intuit Online Payroll within the power of Google Apps."
Meanwhile NetSuite plans to put its mid-market ERP offering into the marketplace. “NetSuite is committed to bringing the power of Cloud Computing to businesses, so integrating with Google Apps is a logical choice for us," says Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite. "By adding NetSuite to the Google Apps Marketplace, we plan to make it extremely easy for Google Apps customers to get a powerful Cloud Computing ERP application that works seamlessly with their technology platforms."
